The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Monday, Feb. 15, and Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Crimes against a person
At 2:21 p.m. on Feb. 15 a student’s buttocks were grabbed by a suspect on a bicycle at University Gateway Apartments, who was later arrested.
Crimes against property
At 4:41 a.m. on Feb. 15, a suspect was arrested for removing three bottles of liquor and a tool box from 2301 Scarff St.
At 12:43 p.m. on Feb. 15 it was reported that a laptop computer was stolen in Grace Ford Salvatori Hall.
Miscellaneous incidents
At 9:18 p.m. on Feb. 15, a suspect was arrested for peering into the windows of multiple apartments at 1158 37th St.
At 11:38 p.m. on Feb.15, a student reported that, while she was sleeping, a suspect entered her dorm room at a Parkside Residential Building and identified himself as her roommate’s friend. The suspect then briefly searched the roommate’s closet before leaving the room. The student did not report the incident at the time it occurred and the roommate subsequently found no property missing.
At 12:48 a.m. on Feb. 16, after a student had complained of vomiting and abdominal pain at 1157 36th Place, they were transported to a nearby hospital.
At 3:39 p.m. on Feb. 16, a student was transported to the Student Health Center after cutting his hand at the Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research.
At 4:00 p.m. on Feb. 16, a non-USC male driving his personal vehicle collided with a university tram, causing major damage to the male’s vehicle.
At 9:06 p.m. on Feb. 16, a water leak was reported at the Physical Education building and a ceiling pipe was observed to have burst. Facilities Management Services personnel were requested and responded to clean up and conduct repairs.
