The Trojans win 80-70 over Washington State.

It was close throughout much of the game, but USC recovered late. Ellis finished with 23. Peterson with 20. Tre White shot an efficient 6-9 from the field for 12 points.

The Cougars are intentionally fouling, and Ellis hits both free throws to put the Trojans up 78-68
10:14 p.m.

Peterson hits a step-back 3-point shot to put the Trojans up 5 points.

Kobe Johnson comes up with a turnover on the other end and a wide open Iwuchukwu slams it down to put the Trojans up 76-68 with 32.6 seconds left.

10:12 p.m.

USC has their best defensive possession of the game, ending with a block from Vincent Iwuchukwu. The Trojans lead 71-68 and have the ball with 1:20 left in the game.

10:09 p.m.

Reece Dixon-Waters hits both free throws and the Trojans lead the Cougars 69-65 with 2:28 left in the game.

WSU takes the lead and USC calls timeout down 65-63 with 4:23 remaining in the game.

Ellis hits a step-back three over the 6-foot-11 Gueye and the Trojans lead 60-54 with 8 minutes remaining.

Trojans lead 55-51 with 9:11 remaining.

Peterson has yet to score in the second half. Ellis has upped his total to 14 points.

The Trojans are already in the bonus now that WSU has 7 fouls. Thanks to a quick scoring burst, USC now leads 51-47 with 13 minutes remaining.

Vincent Iwuchukwu scores his first points of the game with a vicious slam dunk.

Tre White follows it with an and-one but misses the free throw. USC 37, WSU 32 with 1:45 remaining.

8:54 p.m.

WSU’s Kymany Houinsou and USC’s Reese Dixon-Waters both called for technical fouls after both teams exchanged words.

Trojans lead 33-32 with under 3 minutes left in the first.

8:46 p.m.

Drew Peterson hits a tough 3-point shot and the Trojan lead 30-28 with 5 minutes remaining.

8:43 p.m.

In a repeat sequence, Tre White throws it down and Ellis hits a three to put the Trojans within a point.

8:40 p.m.

Tre White slams it down and Boogie Ellis hits a three to put the Trojans… down 6 points.

Cougars lead 28-22 with 7:46 remaining in the first half.

8:31 p.m.

Washington State’s Mouhamed Gueye has scored 14 of the Cougars’ 18 points.

Ellis is 0-4 from the line and the Trojans are behind 18-11 with just under 12 minutes remaining in the first half.

Joshua Morgan goes down with what looks like a lower leg injury and heads to the locker room.

Joshua Morgan draws a foul on a layup off a pass from Peterson.

Morgan makes the shot and the Trojans are up 7-6 with 17 minutes left in the first half.
