Contrast is one of those words that mean anything and everything to all kinds of people. In the simplest of terms, photographers usually refer to it as the variance between light and dark within an image; but our campus — the people, the nature and the landmarks that inhabit that space — is rich with examples beyond that visual realm: “motion” vs. “stagnation,” “old” vs. “new,” “environment” vs. “industrialization.” This week, staff photographers Bryce Dechert, Marcus Heatherly and Wesley Chen set out to capture these moments for our second installment of The Weekly Frame.
