THE WEEKLY FRAME — WEEK 4

Fluidity

Photos by BRYCE DECHERT, HENRY KOFMAN & BRITNEY ZHOU

This week’s theme, “Fluidity,” was practically inescapable. Beyond the obvious subject of water — of which we’ve seen more than enough in the past few days — fluidity also refers to the form and movement of every subject we capture, and especially how those subjects are transformed as they traverse, and reflect off of, all kinds of surfaces. Staff photographers Henry Kofman, Britney Zhou, and Bryce Dechert were challenged to think about the ways our photos represent fluidity, and by freezing that motion and form into one frame, truly appreciate the natural beauty, even in stormy weather.
