What makes photography reach the label of “art”? Framing certainly has a lot to do with it. The shifting of a frame can present the same landscape as infinitely vast or tightly claustrophobic. The emotion of a scene changes depending on its framing. Frames are much more than a technical device; they’re narrators of stories in their own right. This week, staff photographers, Henry Kofman, Shruti Shakthivel and Zongyi Wang set out to experiment with this theme, using the natural elements of our campus to transform the places we know all too well into novel scenes.
