The change will go into effect in the 2024-25 academic year.

Students pursuing Master of Fine Arts degrees in the acting and dramatic writing programs will attend the School of Dramatic Arts tuition-free beginning in the 2024-25 school year, SDA announced on its website Wednesday.

SDA’s graduate programs include 35 students — all of whom are currently scholarship or grant recipients.

Incoming and continuing MFA students in the programs will no longer have any tuition costs after the change goes into effect.

Announcing the program, SDA wrote that the tuition-free program would ensure “talented individuals from diverse backgrounds have access to a world-class education without financial constraints.”
