Postdoctoral scholars vote 93% in favor of forming union

The vote to form the USC Researchers and Fellows United-United Auto Workers had a 200-15 margin of victory.

The University’s postdoctoral scholars voted 93% in favor of forming a union, the USC Researchers and Fellows United-United Auto Workers announced in an email to the Daily Trojan Monday afternoon.

The vote, which took place from June 20 to June 21, had a 200-15 margin of victory.

In joining the UAW, the University’s postdoctoral scholars will stand alongside the University’s graduate workers and the School of Cinematic Arts’ adjunct professors.
