LAPD arrests suspect with gun, lifts perimeter on Orchard and Ellendale

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested a suspect with a gun, an LAPD officer on the scene confirmed to the Daily Trojan.

UPDATE: The Los Angeles Police Department arrested a suspect with a gun and lifted the perimeter near Orchard Avenue and Ellendale Place, an LAPD officer on the scene told the Daily Trojan.

LAPD vehicles are leaving the area, though some remain in the area to conclude the investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for an individual with a possible gun north of the University Park Campus. The individual was reported running west on Adams Boulevard near the 2600 block of Ellendale Place.

Police have established a perimeter in the immediate area and are asking everyone to avoid the area. The LAPD was unable to confirm the exact perimeter location and size.
