The Undergraduate Student Government has extended the voting period for the presidential/vice presidential and senatorial election from Friday to Sunday night.

Chief justice Susanna Andryan wrote in a statement to the Daily Trojan that the judicial council is following the elections code, which states that the voting period starts on Tuesday and ends on Sunday.

Originally, the voting period was set from Tuesday to Friday to match last year’s schedule. The extension also gives students more time to cast their votes, Andryan said.
