A still photo is fantastic for capturing a moment, but it still fails to capture the other essential senses. This week we explored sound through image. While it was a very difficult task to capture sound in an image — something meant explicitly not for sound — deputy photo editor Ellie Henderson was up to the task for “The Weekly Frame: Sound.”
For this Weekly Frame, you are encouraged to see if you can hear the photos, what sounds — or lack thereof — come to you when you are looking at each of the six images, and how mediums as well as senses overlap to create a brand-new form of art.
