Office of Experiential and Applied Learning will close

Programs under the department will continue under individual leadership.

USC is discontinuing the Office of Experiential and Applied Learning, according to a statement to the Daily Trojan from Emily Hodgson, Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences dean of undergraduate education.  Programs under ExL — which include the Joint Educational Project, the Prison Education Project, Mock Trial and the Fisher Fellowship will continue uninterrupted under their individual leadership, according to the statement released on Monday.

“[ExL] programs remain a vital part of our mission to connect classroom learning with real-world experience and engagement,” Hodgson wrote.
