While at NYU, Kim helped implement a tuition-free program for families who make less than $100,000 per year called NYU Promise.

Kim also developed NYU’s Global Offsite program, which enabled international students to take online courses for NYU during the pandemic, and a pre-education program in Shanghai, China.

Tim Brunold, who serves as interim vice president for enrollment management, will continue serving as the dean of admission. Guzman also announced that Brunold will take on a new role as special advisor to the provost.

“[Brunold’s] leadership has been essential to our continued success in all admissions and enrollment activities, and he has been a vital intellectual partner as we’ve navigated the difficult task of building financial resilience while maintaining our promise of providing access to a world-class education,” Guzman wrote.
