LAPD, DPS investigate confrontation at USC Village

Law enforcement detained two individuals unaffiliated with the University.

Law enforcement has roped off the Sweetgreens patio with caution tape.

Law enforcement officers are investigating a confrontation at USC Village where one person may have cut another on the arm, according to a statement to the Daily Trojan from Department of Public Safety Assistant Chief David Carlisle. Both parties are unaffiliated with USC, Carlisle wrote.

The Los Angeles Police Department and DPS have detained both people involved, and there is no active threat to students, Carlisle wrote. According to an eyewitness, the injured person was taken to the hospital for treatment.
