DPS, LAFD puts out fire in Parking Structure X

The Department of Public Safety and the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a car fire in Parking Structure X Tuesday afternoon, according to DPS Capt. David Carlisle.

The fire was reported at about 12:49 p.m., he said, but DPS officers were able to contain the blaze with fire extinguishers before LAFD arrived.

The fire started under the hood of the car and was extinguished in 10 minutes, Carlisle said, adding that it did not appear to be arson.
