LAPD searching for suspect after reported shooting near campus injures three

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call at about 4:04 p.m. reporting a shooting by the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Budlong Avenue with three victims. Officers are searching for the suspect, and DPS is not involved in the investigation. Police activity in the area has concluded.

LAPD confirmed the victims include a 50-year-old man with a gunshot wound but conscious and breathing. Another victim is unconscious and not breathing, and the third’s status remains unknown. Three ambulances have been dispatched to the area.
