The Trojans look to even this season’s record with their crosstown rival UCLA.
With Boogie Ellis and Isaiah Collier back on the court, USC may have the pieces to challenge the Bruins.
We’ll be reporting live from Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. Refresh to see new updates.
9:22 p.m.
With Bruin fans heading for the exits with USC up by eight with 1:01 left, the Trojans look like they will hang on for their first road win in over two months.
9:15 p.m.
What a half for Johnson! He hits a three with just under three minutes left in the game to extend the Trojans lead to 11. USC can smell it; they just need to play a clean final three minutes of basketball to secure a win at Pauley.
9:09 p.m.
Huge dunk from Johnson after a steal of his own and the Trojans are back up by nine with 4:15 left in the game. The Bruin faithful has been fairly quiet in the second half and they’ve been a bit of a non-factor so far in the half.
9:02 p.m.
Aday Mara is leading the charge for the Bruins as they cut the lead to seven. He has scored all of his 8 points in the second half. The Trojans are in foul trouble with their big men, with Morgan and Iwuchukwu having four fouls and Page with three.
8:53 p.m.
Long official timeout as Arrinten Page and Bona get in a scuffle, resulting in double technicals between the two. This could be the pause in action the Bruins needed, but Bona is headed to the bench with four personal fouls.
8:44 p.m.
The disastrous start to the second half continues for the Bruins. With 9:33 left in the game, UCLA has only managed three total points in the second half. The Trojans are outscoring them 16-3 in the half.
8:37 p.m.
The Trojans extend their 12-3 run to start the second half. Brandon Williams has picked up his fourth foul of the game for the Bruins with 11:49 left to go.
8:28 p.m.
The Bruins are still scoreless in the first five minutes of the second half. They have gone 0-6 from the field with four turnovers in the half. If the second half is reminiscent of the first, we’re in for a treat here at Pauley.
8:24 p.m.
The Trojans are on an 8-0 run to start the second half with Ellis leading the charge once again. The “Bruin killer” is up to 20 points on the game.
8:19 p.m.
UCLA gets the ball to start off half number two. A quick foul on Morgan with 11 seconds into the half has him heading to the bench already with three fouls.
8:01 p.m.
Halftime here from Westwood and the Bruins stormed back in the final five minutes of the half to tie the game at 34 apiece. Once again, free throw shooting is the kryptonite for the Trojans as they’ve shot 3-8 from the line, compared to a perfect 9-9 for the Bruins.
7:57 p.m.
Pauley is rocking right now as a made three from Stefanovic, then a block from Bona and a jump ball in the Bruins possession has UCLA only down four.
7:55 p.m.
The Trojans are now in the bonus with the Bruins just committing their seventh foul. Ellis split the free throws and is now 1-4 from the free throw line. Free throw shooting woes continue for the Trojans.
7:42 p.m.
The Bruins and Dylan Andrews can’t seem to get the lid off the bucket. They just broke their three-minute scoring drought, while Andrews has started 0-3 from the field.
7:40 p.m.
The Trojans are on a 12-2 run in the last three minutes of the game with Ellis staying hot, scoring 15 of the Trojans’ 25 total points in the game.
7:30 p.m.
Ellis is cooking from deep, leading the Trojans with 8 points, going 2-4 from beyond the arc, with the most recent one coming from way behind the line. He is at the free throw line looking to extend USC’s lead to six.
7:25 p.m.
Bronny James checks in and is welcomed to Pauley Pavilion by a sea of boos from the Bruin student section.
7:25 p.m.
A silly foul from Johnson with one second left on the shot clock has the Bruins going to the line with three free throws with a chance to tie the game. A key story in this contest so far is USC is shooting deep 3-pointers with a lot of time left in the shot clock, with the Trojans already 2-6 from deep.
7:17 p.m.
After the first timeout of the game, the Trojans have had small opportunities to pull away, but a missed layup from Johnson and Collier has the Bruins up 5-4 with a little over 15 minutes to go in the first half.
7:13 p.m.
Sloppy start for the Trojans as Joshua Morgan has already picked up his first foul and a turnover from Ellis puts the Trojans tied with the Bruins through the first two minutes of the first half.
7:06 p.m.
Trojan’s starting lineup:
G Boogie Ellis
G Isaiah Collier
G Kobe Johnson

Tipoff is less than 15 minutes away in the historic rivalry of USC and UCLA. The student section here at Pauley is rocking and will be a tough atmosphere for the Trojans. Stay tuned for further updates about starting lineups.
