Class of 2028 acceptance rate is 9.2%, USC confirms

This marks yet another sub-10% rate as the University released its admission results Friday afternoon.

USC’s acceptance rate for the 2023-24 application season is 9.2%. The University accepted 7,550 potential matriculants out of more than 82,000 applicants, according to decision letters sent to applicants Friday afternoon. Last year, the University’s acceptance rate was 9.9%.

In early February, the Daily Trojan obtained an email from Director of Undergraduate Admission Kirk Brennan predicting this acceptance rate.

In March 2023, the acceptance rate for students admitted to the class of 2027 dropped below 10% for the first time. USC accepted 8,094 students out of 80,808 applicants, bringing the admission rate to 9.9%. The university admitted an additional 1,245 students for Spring 2024.

Of those admitted for Fall 2023, 3,633 matriculated, earning the University a 45% enrollment rate for the 2023-24 school year.
