When you think of Los Angeles, you probably don’t think of animals. Pigeons, maybe, or seagulls at the coast, but USC is not near the coast. So, it was a bit of a quest to find animals worthy enough for this “Weekly Frame.” From chasing squirrels at the School of Cinematic Arts with a little bit too short of a lens to crawling on the ground to get a shot of a cat behind the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum fence, it was definitely an effort to get great pictures this week. But, throughout a stream of blurry, dark, grainy indoor and evening shots, I was able to get some really wonderful images, proving once and for all that USC does in fact have (a few) animals roaming around when the crowds aren’t scaring them off.
This week for “The Weekly Frame,” staff photographers Bryce Dechert, Teo Gonzales and Fin Liu were tasked with capturing animals in and around campus.
