THE WEEKLY FRAME III — WEEK 1

Reflections

Photos by JAKE BERG

With every new year and new semester there is an opportunity for reflection — a chance to look back on the past while not forgetting the future that is to come. For some, that reflection comes in the form of a mere Instagram 2024 recap post, and for others there are deeper reflections and resolutions made. Looking back and learning from our past experiences allows us to know what we want to keep in our life and what we want to change at this immense milestone.

In photography, reflection is also very important as a technique. Looking at something from a new angle — in a unique direction or not directly at all — allows for expertly beautiful images. Similar to how we reflect on our lives in a new way each new year, staff photographer Jake Berg took to campus to look around at what we see every day in a unique way in “The Weekly Frame III: Reflections.” Here’s to a new year and a new perspective.
