Freshman running back Dillon Baxter misses game

USC freshman tailback Dillon Baxter did not travel to Oregon State after accepting a ride in a golf cart from an NFLPA certified agent who is also a USC student.

A member of the USC compliance department saw Baxter riding in the golf cart with the logo of the 1st Round Enterprises on the side panel, USC Vice President of Compliance David M. Roberts said Saturday.

1st Round Enterprises, of which 1st Round Sports is a subsidy, is led by USC senior Teague Egan, who is the chairman and CEO. Egan is also a NFLPA-certified agent.

“We did nothing wrong, broke no rules and have never given any players anything,” Egan said in a text message Saturday night.

USC is hopeful Baxter will be reinstated this week after he pays the value of the ride, about $10, to a charity.

“We’re hoping that’s going to be the end of it and that the NCAA will understand that we acted proactively and quickly,” Roberts said.

Was there ever any explanation of the snub by Stanley Havili of Head coach during the introduction of seniors during the opening ceremonies vs. ND on saturday. Every other senior stoped, hugged , etc, Stanley ran right by the coach, no contact, no conversation. Very odd. Please respond. thanks
