Police subdue knife-wielding man at Staples Center

A knife-wielding man rushed onto the court of the Staples Center minutes a game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers was set to begin Saturday.

The man used his knife to get past security at the employee entrance and stormed onto the court where Cavaliers forward Christian Eyenga was practicing shooting drills. Eyenga avoided harm by running into the locker room.

Police officers and security guards subdued the man with rubber and bean bag bullets. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Tip-off for the game was delayed 15 minutes following the incident.
