Trojans set for makeup date with Toreros
The USC men’s tennis team will finally get a chance to play No. 60 University of San Diego on Friday, after the original meeting between the two squads was postponed due to rain.
The Toreros (2-0, 0-0) were originally scheduled to visit USC’s campus on Jan. 26, but the normally cooperative weather of southern California took an unexpected turn as that date fell in the middle of nearly a week of rainy days.
Because of the rain-soaked courts from the end of last month, the No. 1 Trojans (5-0, 0-0) have played three matches in the past week, but have yet to drop a meet.
Freshman J.T. Sundling’s recent debut in the Trojans’ 7-0 sweep over UC Irvine is a welcome site for the Trojans, as their schedule begins to get more difficult as the season progresses.
