The following incidents were reported in the Department of Public Safety incident report summary between Monday, Sept. 21, and Tuesday, Sept. 22. 

Crimes against a person

At 5:06 a.m. on Sept. 22, a student reported she was being followed by a vehicle as she walked near University Gateway Apartments.

Crimes against property

At 9:56 a.m. on Sept. 21, a surgical head lamp was reported missing by a staff member at Keck Hospital of USC.

At 10:00 a.m. on Sept. 21, a camera was reported missing by a non-USC female at Seaver Residence Hall.

At 11:21 a.m. on Sept. 21, a suspect took a cellphone from McDonald’s.

At 3:14 p.m. on Sept. 21, it was reported that a non-USC male caused minor damage to a parked University vehicle by driving a truck into it at Kaprielian Hall.

At 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 21, the driver’s side view mirror on a student’s vehicle was reported smashed on 27th Street.

At 4:36 p.m. on Sept. 21, an unknown object was used to scratch the paint off the side of a student’s vehicle and smash the driver’s side view mirror at the Shrine Parking Structure.

At 4:56 p.m. on Sept. 21, a bicycle was reported stolen at the Von Kleinsmid Center.

At 5:42 p.m. on Sept. 21, a pair of earrings and miscellaneous clothing items were stolen from a car at St. Marks Lutheran Church.

At 6:19 p.m. on Sept. 21, a student’s wallet was reported missing at Exposition Boulevard and Watt Way.

At 7:07 p.m. on Sept. 21, a student reported a suspect deflated his bicycle tire at Seaver Science Library.

At 8:16 p.m. on Sept. 21, previously unseen damage on a University vehicle was reported on the rear passenger side fender at the University Parking Center.

Miscellaneous incidents

At 8:18 a.m. on Sept. 21, a suspect with an outstanding warrant was arrested at 30th Street and University Avenue.

At 10:03 a.m. on Sept. 21, a staff member was taken to a local hospital from Healthcare Center 1 to receive treatment for chest pains.

At 3:18 p.m. on Sept. 21, a student was taken from the Engemann Student Health Center to a local hospital to receive treatment for chest pains.
