The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary on Monday, April 18.

Crimes against property

At 12:55 a.m. on April 18, DPS recovered a student’s bicycle from a suspected thief outside the USC area. However, the suspect was released when the student could not be located to confirm that the bicycle had been stolen.

At 8:02 a.m. on April 18, it was reported that a tablet computer and headphones were stolen from the Allan Hancock Foundation building. The crime occurred at some point over the weekend.

At 9:33 a.m. on April 18, a staff member at the Delta Chi fraternity house reported that wires and an air conditioning unit had been damaged.

At 9:41 a.m. on April 18, it was reported that a suspect had attempted to pry open doors to enter three studios at Harris Hall and the Fisher Museum. The crime is thought to have occurred over the weekend.

At 10:07 a.m. on April 18, a bicycle was reported stolen from Hoffman Hall.

At 11:21 a.m. on April 18, architecture models were stolen from Watt Hall. The investigation into the incident remains open.

At 2:32 p.m. on April 18, a fork stem was reported to have been removed from a bicycle at the Seeley G. Mudd Building.

At 5:57 p.m. on April 18, a staff member reported that his USC parking permit, used at Parking Structure A, was missing.

At 7:15 p.m. on April 18, a cell phone, USC ID card, credit card, and driver’s license were stolen from the Lyon Recreation Center.

At 9:59 p.m. on April 18, DPS responded to a report of a missing department-issued badge that belonged to a staff member at Parking Structure A.

At 11:58 p.m. on April 18, graffiti was spray-painted onto a wall at the parking structure on Exposition Boulevard.

Miscellaneous incidents

At 10:09 a.m. on April 18, a non-USC male threatened to harm himself at the Engemann Student Health Center. DPS officers determined that we was not a threat to himself or others.

At 2:18 P.m. on April 18, a non-USC male was transported to a local hospital from Healthcare Center 1. The individual was suffering from a low heart rate, and received medical treatment as a result of the illness response.

At 2:49 p.m. on April 18, it was reported that a patient at the Keck Hospital at USC possessed a knife and a gun. DPS officers did not find weapons during a search of his room.
