The following incidents were reported in the USC Dept. of Public Safety incident report summary between Monday, Oct. 14, and Wednesday, Oct. 16. 

Crimes against property

at 9:56 a.m. on Oct. 14, DPS officers arrested a suspect on the corner of Adams Boulevard. and Magnolia Street riding a stolen bicycle that was registered to a USC student who owns a bike lending company. When DPS contacted the student business owner he confirmed it was stolen from the front business office. The suspect was transported to the 77th station for booking.

at 10:02 a.m. on Oct. 14, a non-USC male drove into a university-owned electric cart outside the Kenneth Norris Jr. Cancer Hospital Research Institute causing minor damage.

at 11:36 a.m. on Oct. 14, a suspect cut the gate lock outside the Keck Hospital and removed two canisters of nitrous oxide form a storage cage.

at 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 14, a suspect removed the side view mirrors from a car in University Village.

at 9:23 p.m. on Oct. 15, a student conversed with friends outside Five Guys Burgers and Fries and subsequently stole an unattended bike. DPS was unable to locate him.

Miscellaneous incidents

at 6:52 p.m. on Oct. 14, two USC students reported juveniles loitering near the bike racks outside the Leventhal School of Accounting. After questioning, the individuals admitted they intended to steal a bike. DPS transported the students to their residence, informed their guardians about the incident and warned them not to return to campus.

at 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 14, a suspect ransacked a vehicle outside Alpha Gamma Delta but did not remove any property.

at 11:07 p.m. on Oct. 14, a visitor accidently triggered a fire alarm on the third floor of Elisabeth von Kleinsmid Memorial Residence Hall after bumping into a pull station. The Los Angeles Fire Department and DPS cleared the building for reentry and facilities management requested the pull station be repaired.

at 10:15 a.m. on Oct. 15, a student fell off a skateboard after colliding with another student on a bicycle at the intersection of Childs Way and McClintock Avenue.  DPS transported the student to the Roger and Michelle Dedeaux Engemann Student Health Center for treatment.

at 10:57 a.m. on Oct. 15, DPS responded to a student on a bicycle who was struck by a vehicle. The student complained of soreness in his rib cage but denied medical attention and was taken to his residence.

at 12:38 p.m. on Oct. 15, DPS responded to a staff memebr who was experiencing chest pain at the Roger and Michelle Dedaux Engemann Student Health Center. The staff member was transported to California Hospital for treatment.

at 3:25 p.m. on Oct. 15, a non-USC driver collided with a USC vehicle at the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. No one was injured.
