Olympic dreams


Alumnus Corey White practices javelin on Cromwell Field on Monday. White, who holds the USC school record for farthest javelin throw (270 feet), is preparing for the 2012 London Olympic Games. White was 13 centimeters away from the Olympic “A” standard and qualifying for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Rain go away


A student bikes by Cromwell Field Monday in the rain. More than 0.6 inches fell in Downtown Los Angeles, causing minor campus flooding and by midafternoon a rainbow was visible on campus. The weather is expected to be sunny and in the 80s today.

Pro Day indicative of healthy USC program


The campus was abuzz. A hoard of agents, reporters, photographers, NFL scouts and coaches formed a ring around the field. Friends and family gathered in the stands.
