Glee slated to take on another musical legend

From its beginnings, Glee promised good, old-fashioned high school choir fun.

But once the ball got rolling, the show upped the harmonies and tackled covers of hits from iconic stars ranging from Lady Gaga to Queen. No one was left behind in this music-filled flurry, from Jane Lynch as Madonna to the madness of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

And now, they’re covering the King of Pop himself.

The episode will run after the Super Bowl and will feature not a complete tribute in usual Gleek fashion, but a performance of “Thriller,” mixed in with another song, which has yet to be revealed.

With such an ambitious cover and the sponsorship of General Motors, the show will either ring heavenly notes in Gleeks’ hearts or fall short of die-hard Michael Jackson fans and any choir-hating counterparts.
