Farmers Market will celebrate Oktoberfest


On Oct. 4, the Farmers Market in Los Angeles is holding a special event to celebrate Oktoberfest.

Every Tuesday, from Sept. 20 to Oct. 11, the Farmers Market hosts a weekly event called Tuesday’s Best, which features shopping and restaurant specials, cooking demos, delicious food samples and live entertainment.

This week’s Tuesday’s Best will feature different Oktoberfest-themed events that will include strolling Bavarian folk music by Bavarian Stew and Bavarian costumed bartenders.

There will also be German sausage and beer samples for tasting, as well as numerous cooking demos including how to decorate dog biscuits at 5 p.m., bake fruit tarts and éclairs at 6 p.m., cook paella at 7 p.m. and make bratwurst and Hungarian sausages at 8 p.m.

This event is for anyone interested in learning the food and culture of other diversities, as well as any curious food junkies who want to check out the different foods and fun activities that Farmers Market offers.
