USC expands radio network with purchase

USC Radio has reached an agreement to purchase KCNL, a San Jose-area Spanish talk and music station, for $7.5 million. The agreement continues USC’s statewide expansion, wherein KUSC will convert KCNL 104.9 to a non-commercial classical music station. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that a body found Thursday floating in the Dominguez Channel is that of 23-year-old Elgin Stafford, a former USC graduate student who went missing from his home in Carson on March 20.
