Students take action against police brutality

Amanda Feiwell, a freshman majoring in political science, chalks a body outline on Trousdale Parkway as part of an event hosted by the Young Americans for Liberty. Students drew the outlines to commemorate victims of police violence in Los Angeles and raise awareness about police brutality and militarization.

Top journalists including Florian von Heintze, deputy editor in chief of the German newspaper Bild, speak at Wallis Annenberg Hall at noon Tuesday about media coverage of conflicts such as those in Ukraine and Ferguson, Missouri as part of an event hosted by the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
