Fans congregate by USC to celebrate the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Boston Celtics in the traditional Lakers Parade. Traffic was shut down on Figueroa Street between the Staples Center and Jefferson Boulevard for the duration of the parade.

We are the champions

Los Angeles Lakers fans gathered outside of USC’s Galen Center last Wednesday to watch the parade celebrating the team’s first championship since 2002. The parade began at the Staples Center and ended at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where approximately 90,000 fans watched a ceremony honoring the team. The Los Angeles Times reported 150,000 fans watched the parade, which ran along Figueroa Street.
