Global health talk to be held at HSC


Indiana University’s David Fidler will be lecturing on global health and arms control tomorrow in the Health Sciences Campus at Harlyne Norris Research Tower in the Aresty Auditorium.

Fidler teaches International Law, International Trade, and National and Homeland Security Law at Indiana University.

The James Louis Calamaras Professor of Law at Indiana University School of Law, Fidler is knowledgeable in global health, including bioterrorism and biosescurity, and arms control and non-proliferation issues.  Chemical, biological, and “non-lethal” weapons especially lie in his area of expertise.

He released Biosecurity in the Global Age: Biological Weapons, Public Health, and the Rule of Law in 2008, together with Lawrence Gostin.

Attendance is free and will be from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
