Troy Meets World: This week on Trojan Vision


Trojan Vision is USC’s student run television station. We keep you up to date on everything student related ranging from USC events, Hollywood happenings, student well being and relevant issues in the greater Los Angeles area. The Morning Brew (Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.)

Trojan Vision’s morning variety show will feature a wide range of guests this week. The drum major from the Trojan Marching Band will teach the hosts how to correctly stab the sword in the field on Monday; on Tuesday, the band Mora Mora will premiere their music video on the show, and on Thursday, make-up artist Marci Star will demonstrate different fall looks.

Platforum (Monday through Friday, 5:30 p.m.)

Trojan Vision’s daily debate show features topics ranging from domestic political affairs to international pop culture phenomenon. This week, we will debate sustainability at USC with Kaitlin Mogentale on Monday, the website Wikileaks on Tuesday and Thursday, the new football coach and strategies on Wednesday, and racism and sexism in popular culture with Anna Sterling on Friday.

CU@USC (Monday through Friday, 6:30 p.m.)

Trojan Vision’s premiere nightly talk show CU@USC brings the best guests to campus. This week, CU will be honored with the presence of Kyle Keller of VH1’S Tough Love on Monday; Dr. Ainsley Carey, Vice Provost of Student Affairs, on Tuesday; Elle Evans, a model from Robin Thicke’s controversial video “Blurred Lines” on Wednesday; Mark Willard, host of ESPN Radio’s “ESPN LA Now” on Thursday; and Nancy Nayor, A-List Casting Director on Friday.

Delish (Monday, 11:00 a.m.)

Get ready for Delish’s “Quick College Essentials” episode this week. Learn how to make a delicious ramen salad, mouth-watering apple-crumble and a new spin on a root beer float all from your college dorm. The show will even throw you some tips from master college cooks — you won’t want to miss this.

Countdown (Tuesday, 11:00 a.m.)

This brand-new show on Trojan Vision shows you the funniest web videos out there. This week, our hosts Miriam Neigus and Eric Szurek will rank the top five most cringe-worthy videos, from awkward interviews to love declarations.

Balance (Wednesday, 11:00 a.m.)

Healthy living and exercising are the best combination for living a balanced life. This week, Carly Lynn and Andrea Martinez will talk about incorporating movement into education with a segment about USC’s very own Rec Sports. Later, they will be joined by special guest Apryl Kravovsky, the founder of the nationally-recognized non-profit My School in Motion, who will teach them some new moves.

THE SCOOP (Thursday, 11:00 a.m.)

This week on The SCoop, check out our interviews with the cast of Freebirds, including Amy Poehler, Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson. Catch up on all the latest entertainment news and stories about your favorite celebrities on Thursdays at 11 a.m. Follow the show on twitter @TheSCoopUSC to stay updated on red carpet coverage 24/7.

Mind Games (Friday 1:30)
Trojan Visions weekly game show. Watch as opponents face the pressures of the clock, decipher clues, and strategize to block out their opponent–all while trying to answer questions faster than each other. Tune in to see if you are smarter than the contestants and possible win prizes! 

The Water Cooler (Friday, 2:30 p.m.)

The Water Cooler is all about sports. This Friday, the show will preview the upcoming weekend’s big NFL and college football matchups as well as break down the MLB playoffs.

Trailer Park (Friday)

Trailer Park shows the audience what they should be watching next.  This coming Friday, it’s all about trailers for movies and video games that are period pieces, from 12 Years a Slave and the new remake of Romeo and Juliet, to Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and the fourth season of Downton Abbey.
