How to do DineLA right with these delectable restaurant deals

I hope you’re hungry, because 2016’s restaurant week is finally here. From Jan. 18 through 31, some of Los Angeles’s best eateries are offering sweet deals for both lunch and dinner starting at just $15. Here are some of the best deals for every occasion.

Bacaro LA

If you’re looking to stay close to USC, look no further than Bacaro LA, a Trojan favorite. This is a great find for a group dinner or a romantic evening with your significant other. Their restaurant week menu features some of my favorites including the truffle mac-n-cheese and the Bacaro Burger. The best part? The $39 rate includes three courses and a 90-minute all-you-can-drink session with champagne, wine and sangria. So grab some friends and gear up for a great time!

Blue Plate Taco

If you’re up for a trip to Santa Monica, another one of my favorites is Blue Plate Taco. With its beachy vibes and romantic ambiance, this place is perfect for a casual lunch date. Serving a three course restaurant week deal for $25, you have lots of options to choose from. For the first course I would recommend the tuna ceviche with cucumber, avocado, radish, jalapeño ponzu and sriracha aioli. For the second, the taco combo is a must-try. These fish tacos will definitely hit your sweet spot.

Cafe Gratitude

If you’re vegan or just trying to prepare your spring break bod, Cafe Gratitude is the place for you. Located on Larchmont, this healthy haven offers a sweet lunch deal for just $15. Cafe Gratitude makes eating healthy equally delicious, featuring a range of items such as oven-roasted brussel sprouts, a tempeh sushi bowl and collared spring rolls. As for dessert? Gluten-free fruit cobbler and a refreshing pomegranate spritzer! This spot is unique in that when you order from the menu, you begin by saying, “I am” and insert the name of the item, which are titled with adjectives like “accepting,” “honest,” “rejoicing” and “lovely.”

Estrella

If you’re looking for a trendy lunch spot to go with your girlfriends, check out Estrella in West Hollywood. For a $20 restaurant week deal, Estrella serves up signature dishes, including their famous crab cake BLT and grilled skirt steak. For dessert, good luck choosing between rosemary panna cotta and a bittersweet caramel bar. Yum!

Katana

If you’re looking for a hot and hip spot for dinner, head up to West Hollywood to Katana, an Asian Fusion restaurant with an outdoor patio that overlooks the entire city. Their restaurant week menu gives you a taste of their most popular items for just $39. For the first course, you get to choose between Japanese fried chicken, tuna carpaccio and American wagyu potstickers. For the second, it’s your choice between a sushi assortment and spicy tuna roll, the robata skewers plate and mixed seafood and vegetable tempura. And for dessert? You simply can’t leave without tasting their mini chocolate volcano with vanilla ice cream.

The Little Door

If you’re feeling fancy, head over to The Little Door in West Hollywood for a romantic and hearty dinner. Start off with the bacon wrapped scallops, and for the main course, choose between the white sea bass, osso bucco and papardelle pasta. To finish it off, the options are molten cake, coconut cheesecake and salted caramel creme brulee. Definitely a tough choice, but you can’t go wrong!
