Bomb search at Leavey, Doheny concludes

The search at Leavey Library and Doheny Memorial Library in response to a bomb threat has concluded, a TrojansAlert sent late Sunday afternoon read. The libraries will remain closed until Monday morning as a precaution.

The Department of Public Safety and the Los Angeles Police Department did not immediately respond to a request to comment.

A bomb threat was reported at Leavey Library and Doheny Memorial Library Sunday afternoon. Both libraries are being evacuated, according to Assistant USC Department of Public Safety Chief David Carlisle. There is no evacuation order for Pardee Tower or Birnkrant Residential College. The source of the bomb threat is currently unknown.

The Los Angeles Police Department will sweep both libraries, assisted by DPS. Students are advised to avoid the area.
