The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books welcomes an array of published writers and their works, ranging from poetry to non-fiction narratives. Among the over 500 participants, here are 8 authors to check out at the nation's largest literary event.
Shandela Contreras, a sophomore majoring in English with an emphasis on creative writing, uplifts her community as a published author, Los Angeles Youth Poet Ambassador and creative writing teacher.
The largest book festival in the country, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, is making its annual return to the University of Southern California. The festival will run at the University Park Campus on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For the 11th year, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is returning to USC's campus for a weekend of events, performance and connection through a shared love of literature. This timeline follows the history of this annual event.
