Burse-Greos campaign tables moved
Tables with campaign logos promoting the Eric Burse and Andy Greos presidential ticket were removed from the front of the campus center today.
The tables were put up by 9:15 a.m. and taken down by 10:00 a.m. after campus center officials requested that they be removed.
“It wasn’t specifed in the elections code about the campus center being a neutral place, but the people in charge of the campus center just wanted it to remain a neutral zone,” Burse said.
The elections code has a clause stating that materials should not be posted on campus and university-owned buildings, but USG had no comment regarding the tables.
Burse and Greos still intend to use the tables in areas designated for campaigning.
“We have them back and we’re just going to use them in other locations,” Burse said.
